Tasks and Goals
The Informationsforum RFID e.V. was founded in April 2005. Its goal is to increase public awareness of the forward-looking and innovative potential of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and to promote the use of this pioneering technology by fostering an open dialogue on its applications and key policy issues.
Provide Information
The Informationsforum RFID is committed to providing comprehensive information about RFID to the public, political decision-makers, media representatives, and consumers, and to illustrating the diversity of its possible applications. It will communicate how RFID functions and how it is used, thereby helping to encourage broad-based trust in the technology. The Informationsforum RFID e.V. will provide facts necessary for the public to make an objective evaluation of the technology. In addition, it will work on clarifying open issues such as standards and frequencies, system compatibility, and legal framework conditions.
